Francesca Dangelico

Food Development and Innovation VP at Lavazza Group

Francesca Dangelico is a food development and innovation executive with more than 15 years of international experience in product development, innovation strategy and cross-functional team leadership. Throughout her career, she has encouraged open exchange, meaningful connections and collaboration that turn shared knowledge into new opportunities and lasting impact. As Vice President of Food Development and Innovation at Lavazza Group, she leads global product development across roasted and ground coffee, single-serve systems and beverages, combining design thinking, scientific research and emerging technologies to create relevant, scalable innovation.

Her work brings together collaboration with international research centres, technical excellence and sustainability, translating ambitions to benefit nature into concrete innovation. Recent initiatives include projects supporting biodiversity and regenerative agriculture, alongside the introduction of post-harvest fermentation techniques to explore new coffee profiles and enhance quality. La Reserva de ¡Tierra! Selection, made with coffee sourced from regenerative agriculture, brings this approach to market.

Francesca has also contributed to the development and launch of Tablì, a new product concept designed to offer a distinctive coffee experience. The project combines Lavazza's coffee expertise with technology and design to deliver responsible innovation that rethinks how coffee is prepared and enjoyed.

Previously, at Barilla Group, she led projects spanning smart cooking, personalised experiences, new technologies and pioneering pulse-based pasta.
