Simona Caselli

Simona Caselli graduated with honours in economics and commerce. An auditor and Academic Correspondent of the Italian National Academy of Agriculture, she is President of Granlatte, the cooperative parent company of Granarolo S.p.A., and Head of European Affairs at Legacoop Agroalimentare.

She is also President of CRPA, the Research Centre for Animal Production, and President of AREFLH, the European network of fruit and vegetable regions. From 2015 to 2020, she was Councillor for Agriculture, Hunting and Fisheries of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

She is a board member of CIRFOOD, a leading cooperative in the hotel, restaurant and catering sector, and Consorzio Il Biologico, representing leading Italian organic food companies. She is an honorary member of the National Association of Women in Fruit and Vegetables and the National Association of Women in Wine.

Her involvement in the Italian cooperative system began in 1984 and included decades in the financial sector at the CCFS national consortium. In 2011, she was elected President of Legacoop Reggio Emilia and Legacoop Emilia Ovest, serving until 2014. During this period, she also represented the cooperative sector on the Board of Directors of the University of Parma.
